    Description

    The Democratic Republic of Congo 1 Centime banknote is part of the Franc issues released in 1997 by the Central Bank of Congo. The obverse of the note features a woman harvesting coffee berries. The bank monogram logo is also shown on the right. The banknotes reverse displays Arabica coffee berries and in the background is an image of the Mount Nyiragongo volcano erupting. To protect against counterfeiting, the banknote bears a solid security thread and a watermark that shows a pattern of okapi heads. The 120 x 70 mm paper bill also has a registration device in the shape of a 5-spiked star in a diamond. This specific Democratic Republic of Congo 1 Centimes comes in uncirculated quality.
