    Description

This is your opportunity to enrich your historical memorabilia collection with a beautiful and unusual Lucite enclosure with a 1.3" bronze medal inside, in brilliant uncirculated condition. This can be used as a beautiful paperweight. The bronze medal shows the portrait of Laroy S. Starrett, who founded the L. S. Starrett Company in 1880. This medal was minted in 1980 to commemorate the company's centennial. The company is based in Athol, MA. It manufactures precision tools, gages, measuring instruments and saw blades and it is known as "World's Greatest Toolmaker."
Dimensions: base diameter is about 3.2". The base seems to be made of Bakelite, but I am not sure. The paperweight has 5 scalloped sides, it is about 2" high and it weighs about 7.6 oz. This is a very rare piece, likely to appeal to a discerning collector.
You will receive the paperweight illustrated in the attached photos. Pay only for first class shipping and tracking for this lot only. Shipping to U. S. destinations only.
