These are very large, slow, and docile roaches (can grow up to 3 inches) from the tropical island of Madagascar (
Gromphadorhina portentosa
)
.
They are commonly kept as pets or used as insect feeders and can live up to five years with proper care. Males have small horns protruding from its head and will bump heads with other males to fight for territory and females. Both sexes after reaching a certain size will hiss by expelling air out of their abdomen when disturbed.
Our hissing roaches are fed with fresh vegetables and fruits. They are healthy, chemical free, and completely safe as pets or feeder insects.
They are great as beginner pets for kids, classroom pets, or simply as an interesting addition to your exotic pet collection.
These roaches are easily kept in a small critter keeper with lid and feed on fruits and vegetables.
Our sizes:
Mixed sized nymphs: 1/2 - 1 inch
Large nymphs: 1 inch + but not adults
Male and female pairs: freshly molded young adults or soon to molt sub-adults

n the unfortunate event you receive dead on arrival, we will ship you a replacement order when you send us two photos 1) dead roaches in a cup, and 2) the said cup next to the mailing box with shipping label clearly shown.
