    Description

    Vintage McCoy "Gourmet Parisianne" oval serving platter #1059, clean and in excellent condition.  This is a stoneware piece in a honey brown glaze with dark brown around the edge.  Has a unique molded design in the center that reminds us of an onion or jellyfish-like figure (see picture -- you decide).  Edges have a cross-hatch pattern.
    Platter measures about 15 1/2" long by 10 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" tall; it weighs just over 3 lbs. 3 oz.  Bottom has unglazed setting rims with notches -- an oval outer rim and round inner rim -- and is molded with the McCoy Gourmet Parisianne logo, "Ovenproof", "USA" and "Stoneware 1059".  Platter has no chips, cracks, crazing or stains, only a few light utensil marks around the open end of the onion/jellyfish.
