pre-owned MATTEL Barbie titan BUBBLECUT DOLL: SWIMSUIT/red HEELS/SUNGLASSES
PLEASE check the COST of AIRMAIL SHIPPING with TRACKING listed below the description before placing a bid....this is a 1960's Mattel titan bubblecut Barbie doll and labeled with: "Midge c1957 and Barbie c1968 BY MATTEL, INC. PATENTED". She comes in a red SWIMSUIT displays okay BUT it has issues which are: one right shoulder strap shows a bit of a seam separation and there is a feint pull-indentation mark on the front; the one side seam needs a re-sew and the other side may have been re-sewn I'm guessing; and there are loose and missing threads here-there on the edges of it. The red HEELS, one labeled JAPAN on the bottom of it, are in great condition and her SUNGLASSES look good. She is a straight-legged doll with a waist that does not turn. FACIAL features: have no rubs on eyebrows, eye areas but her lips have faded to a platinum-like color tone-her face is darker in color tone than the rest of her, like a suntan shade. EARRINGS: are reproductions, 1-earring hole per ear, BUT one side, all around the ear, has a feint look of green caused by her original earring. HAIR: is thick with no missing hair plugs and the style is close to original look and it feels somewhat coarse like a doll her age would have. TORSO: is lighter in color tone and it has few surface marks except for one hard-to-see scraped area above the right breast. ARMS-LEGS are darker in color tone but they have no staining or damage on them and they hold a fairly firm pose. HANDS-TOES: are all accounted for with varying color tones of polish on them. Regardless of her age wear and expect some from my description, this bubblecut will be a nice addition or model to your collection! I welcome questions if more info is needed.
