Rare 1930 BYRD ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION Unused APPRECIATION CERTIFICATE Engraving

This is really a wonderful original.  This is one of those historical documents that I imagine is quite rare.  In searching the internet I was only able to find 2 examples of this certificate having been filled out.  One was sold at auction long ago and another is for sale at nearly 10 times what I am asking. This one is actually unused.  Just a great example.  Engraved by well listed artist Harold Butterfield it is a wonderful view with vignettes surrounding the words in the center.  Views of the camp. the boats, the wildlife, the camps, and much more.  Really great piece of history.  The engraved part measures 17 x 10 1/2 inches on sheet measuring 23 1/2 x 17 1/4 inches.  Excellent original condition.  A small chip to the lower right corner is missing and a few other edge bumps but otherwise in excellent condition.  It even looks as though the eagle medallion next to where the signatures would go has been hand colored.  Really just a great piece of history.  Do your own research on this piece.
