An absolute amazing, one of a kind, piece of Truman Capote and “In Cold Blood” history. Extremely RARE Truman Capote owned and worn 1960’s denim shirt.
The shirt is in very nice overall condition. The shirt’s label was removed long ago, most likely by Capote himself. I believe it’s a size medium. This shirt was originally purchased from the 2006 Bonhams “The Private World of Truman Capote” auction in New York City. Included with the shirt is the original Bonhams auction tag. Interestingly, the individual whom purchased the shirt from Bonhams Auction had a pretty cool connection to Truman Capote. That information will be forwarded to the winning bidder upon request. Truman Capote owned and worn memorabilia just doesn’t come on the market very often. It was said that Capote had a fondness for denim clothing and loved to wear it. This shirt shows good wear, however still in amazing condition. I believe it’s from the 1960’s.
