THIS BONA FIDE ORIGINAL “Empire Strikes Back” BORIS COKE COUNTERTOP DISPLAY
was made to promote the wildly successful Coca-Cola poster offer in the movie theaters. It was
ONLY
sent out for the original 1980 opening of the film to the theaters that participated in the Coca-Cola Boris poster giveaway promotion. Not all theaters playing Empire offered Coca-Cola, some only Pepsi, and so this rare 1-sheet saw was a very limited distribution. That's why it's so rare! It wasn't ever issued again, and, most theaters didn't save this movie poster advertising display, as this was a limited time offer.

1980 counter-top display is by far the rarest of all the actual theater displays available WORLDWIDE!  If you're looking to complete your Star Wars movie theater display collection, obviously, this is a MUST! This rare beauty was sent to the movie theater back in 1980 with the stock of Boris Posters that are advertised on it. This display was ACTUALLY used at the theater, and so it had some wear on the front from the original handling. I recently had it gloriously restored to its original state by the best and most respected conservator in the USA. All he did was
touchup
some of the scuffs and whatnot on the front. The
easel back
was practically new. All 100% archival materials were used! It worked like a charm, because this baby came out terrific, now presenting as a TOP-NOTCH BEAUTY!
