True vintage B&L Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb USA Timberline Ambermatic sport sunglasses circa 1960’s. Unisex. See measurements. A true classic that never goes out of style.
Very gently used
"RayBan Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic mineral glass lenses sharpen vision and reduce glare. The lenses change color to help you see better in any weather. Their subtle mirror coating is perfect for sports that demand extra glare protection. They’re right for boating, hunting, skiing, you name it! The lenses are pre-B&L etching, non-prescription and ready for wear."
B&L ambermatic lenses are photochromatic, meaning that they change color and color density automatically based on the temperature and amount of light (brightness). Lenses will change from amber yellow to pale brown to dark brown or dark gray depending on the environmental conditions.
Retro cool acetate/nylon frame features 4 layers of coordinating brown, tan and beige hues. The face frame is a neutral medium-dark brown, as are the temples. A tan color is then introduced and can be seen peeking out from under the brown at the sides, along the top and bottom of the frame. An ivory beige tone is up next and creates the center and bottom portion of the temples as well. The last layer, closest to the wearer’s face, is a warmer toned medium brown.
A raised Ray-Ban logo emblem adorns each temple in silver tone metal. The inside of the right temple is impressed with B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A. The inside of the left temple is impressed with TIMBERLINE.
