You are bidding on an antique
McCoy Stoneware Mixing Bowl
in lightly cleaned, as found condition.
This is a large size measuring approx 9 3/4"  across the top, 5 1/2" tall, 3" inches across the square bottom
Windowpane pattern in the gorgeous emerald green color
The bottom is marked "9" within the shield and "4" adjacent to the shield
Nice condition. There are pin-prick pittings in the glaze that appear to be at production. The glaze is crazed evenly throughout. The bottom corners of the base "square" are worn from use. There is a diagonal hairline across the base square that runs through the shield but does not appear through on the inside. There are utensil marks on the inside bottom of the bowl and two slightly deeper scratches on the interior each approx 1" to 1 1/2" long. There is a 1/8" x 1/4" chip on the top rim.
In all this is a very nice bowl in surprisingly good shape for a 100-year old bowl.
