Vintage Renauld Sunglasses Bikini Gold with Blue Lenses. A great looking pair of statement sunglasses.
This pair of vintage sunglasses is in very good condition. Because it is vintage, it does show some slight wear, which I will describe as exactly as possible. You may certainly feel free to ask any questions or to ask for additional photos before making your purchase. Ebay only allows me to upload 12 photos to the listing, but I have taken MANY more photos than that, of every possible angle, so ask away.
The frames are gold and over time, with use, some of that gold has faded or worn to a less distinct gold. The temples (arms) look exactly the same as another slightly brighter pair I have, so it might just be the intended color of that section. All of the metal is smooth.
The bridge is a black (or very dark brown) plastic or hard nylon type of material that is slightly less shiny of the side that touches you skin; it is smooth but has one small spot that I can feel.
The lenses are blue. On each lens there is a short white line on almost the very same spot. Again, I see this same mark on the other pair I have, so apparently it is to be expected on vintage sunglasses of this exclusive brand. On the right lens this mark is approx 10 mm long and on the left lens is is approx 6 mm long; there is a slight change in texture on these white marks on both lenses, on the inside only. On each lens, approx 15 mm from bridge there is another more faint white line. I can not feel a difference in texture, but that does not mean there is not a change. I can only describe my findings in my very close examination.
All hardware is firmly intact and the temples open and close smoothly. They rest almost evenly on the table when opened and closed but there is a very slight difference; the right temple near the end over the ear seems to be slightly more straight than the left one. I see this same kind of difference in my own glasses as they have adjusted to the set of my ears.
