Vtg Vietnam War Era Jane Fonda #1 Fan Club Badge-A-Minit Pinback Button Spoof. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class
Button is approximately 3" in diameter.
Very minimal wear, some light scuffs,  marks,  etc Overall in Excellent condition.
History of this Button:
This is obviously a sarcastic piece made for the Vietnam veterans about "Hanoi Jane" for her visit to Vietnam in the 1970's when she was photographed sitting on a Vietnamese Anti-Aircraft Gun wearing a helmet.  Unfortunately this photo was misconstrued basically changing her life forever. As a veteran myself,  and being an open minded person,  i can see how the media's influence affected this situation.  I do not believe she meant any harm by what she was doing,  she was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jane Fonda was actually raised in a military family and was an advocate for veterans, she was an anti-war activist at a time when that type of activism was thought to be Anti-American.
