Gyna caffrorum is an attractive, hardy, and *prolific* Roach species hailing from South Africa. All growth stages exhibit beautiful color schemes - with high-patterned brown/white nymphs to the lovely silver/white speckled adults. Adult females can give birth to over *200* babies per litter (wow!), making it easy to get a large colony going quickly from a small initial starter group. Nymphal stages are unable to climb the glass/plastic walls of their enclosures but adults easily negotiate such surfaces, and are prone to "fluttering" - so a Vaseline barrier and a secure-fitting lid are recommended in order to prevent any potential "escape attempts". You will receive 12+ mixed-size nymphs of G. caffrorum to ensure a well-rounded starter colony, and a free sample of my homemade 17-ingredient, deluxe "Roach chow" is included with each order.
